POCOS Symposia

POCOS focus on three interrelated areas of complex object genres and the respective digital preservation issues:

The POCOS Symposia bring together the leading researchers and practitioners in these fields and invite them to present their findings, identify key unsolved problems, and map out the future research agenda for the preservation of complex materials and environments. The three non-orthogonal areas of the POCOS Symposia highlight the potential of synergies in preserving complex objects, allowing at the same time for deliberations on digital preservation theory and practice that is specific to each area.

The Symposia are held at 3 locations across the UK and webcast/recorded and released on YouTube to the broader international community. Each event is organised by a specific project partner. For further information check the individual page for each symposium (links above and on the Navigation menu).

Places at the POCOS Symposia should be booked in advance. Although you can attend each symposium individually, it is recommended that you follow all three POCOS events to maximise the networking potential with key stakeholders and practitioners from the entire domain of digital complex objects addressed by the project.
